STEPS, Inc. - Senior Community Services Employment Program (Title V)

The Title V Program places individuals over the age of 55 in employment training sites to gain employment skills. The goal of the program is to enable participants to learn employment skills to obtain unsubsidized employment. There are 25 slots available over a nine-county region.
Participants are approved based on a “Most-In-Need” progress giving priority to individuals who have a disability, Veterans, rural citizens, limited English skills, limited literacy, have low employment prospects and must meet Federal Poverty guidelines. Participants also must have been unemployed for a period of at least six months. Service area includes the counties of Amelia, Brunswick, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway, and Prince Edward.
